More About Villa Aloni
Villa Aloni is a beautifully designed villa with elegant, contemporary styling. Aloni enjoys breathtaking views across the Ionian Sea towards the historic island of Ithaca. The charming town of Fiskardo is within easy reach and with the quiet beaches of Kefalonia’s north coast to explore, this villa is ideally placed to offer a truly relaxing holiday experience.
Villa Aloni’s skilled architect Morris Richards, set out to create a beautiful contemporary home that would have a low environmental impact on the island. As a result, Villa Aloni has been elegantly designed with great imagination and attention to detail, making the most of its spectacular location.
Perched on the hillside, Villa Aloni enjoys breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea towards Lefkas and the historic island of Ithaca. Surrounded by oak, cypress and olive trees, this is a quiet, secluded base from which to explore the wonderful northern coastline. Local tavernas and shops are available nearby, while Fiskardo’s charming harbour and pastel-coloured Venetian architecture is just a short drive away. The villa’s glossy marble floors extend both inside and out while glass panels and cleverly designed columns create an interesting play of light and shade on the spacious patios. Along the large, inviting swimming pool run turquoise ribbons of water, extending almost the full length of the house, with separate water features at the front and rear of the property. In the heat of the day, retreat to one of the shady courtyard patios for a cooling drink or a light lunch as you take in the fabulous views.
Two of the three modern, air-conditioned bedrooms are accessed via elegant steps leading from the end of the corridor; all have chic en suite bathrooms with either a bath or shower and their own outdoor seating reached through sliding glass doors. An impressive, open-plan area houses the lounge, dining room and kitchen, decorated throughout in muted tones, with eye-catching artwork, elegant leather seating, a television and dvd/cd players.
The well-equipped kitchen is fitted with sleek Alno cabinetry, complete with chic bar stools standing beside the central island unit where you can chat over a glass of wine as you prepare your evening meal.
However, for occasions when you prefer to let someone else take care of the cooking, call at a traditional taverna in one of the neighbouring villages or head into Fiskardo, where you can dine beside the colourful fishing boats and smart, luxury yachts in the picturesque harbour. Along Kefalonia’s north shores you’ll discover delightful little coves, some reached more easily by boat, where the crystal clear waters are just perfect for snorkelling and diving. Only two kilometres from the villa the pretty pebble beach of Foki Bay, backed by cypress trees and olive groves, is a tranquil spot for a leisurely dip and a picnic lunch. With its superb location and striking contemporary style, Villa Aloni is ideally suited to friends holidaying together or families with older children.
The pool, the view, the peace and quiet.
Private space. Good place to chill out.
We loved the views - they are absolutely panoramic and you are unaware of the proximity of the neighbours. The outside space is bigger than conveyed by the pictures and it is always possible to find a patch of shade. The air conditioning was also fantastic and enabled us to take a break from the heat.Glenis
